Lake Como Road – Sacred White Shell Mountain (BLM) – Mosca, CO

4LTE, base of mountain, mostly quiet, roaming livestock

Free BLM sites. Close to Great Sand Dunes NP. Wide open for solar.

There are 2 open areas with fire pits down the dirt road good for a couple large rigs each, and further up the road small rigs, vans and tents have more options. This road does go all the way up the mountain, but regular vehicles can only go a couple miles.

We had 4 bars Verizon LTE, the National Park has a free dump/fill station (you need to pay to get into the park, or have a pass), and it is really quiet except for some traffic going up/down the mountain.

Bare essentials can be found at the general store near the NP or in nearby Blanca. Walmart and more services are 30 min away in Alamosa.

Also, lots of cows and a few horses roaming aorund while we were there. Didn’t cause us any troubles, and it was really neat to be around them!
