A1 Mtn Rd, I-40 x 190 – Flagstaff, AZ NF
(Days End) 3LTE, clean, lots of space, $15 dump/fill CG
Wonderful and free National Forest dry camping. Quiet and full of wildlife.
Close to Flagstaff with lots of sites, some in the forest and others in the open. We stayed right on the edge of an open meadow next to some travel friends (Instagram: @ateamlife).
Also close enough to the Grand Canyon that we were able to take an afternoon roadtrip there. First time for both of us, and TOTALLY worth it!
We stayed May 2018 and the area was clean, there was very light OHV traffic, and hardly anyone else around. The road in is dirt and rock, but we had no problem with a 35’ fifth wheel.
3 bars Verizon LTE and we stayed in the open for solar power.
We dumped and filled at Kit Carson RV park for $15.
