September 2018, Susanville, CA. Sites are down 1.5 miles of rocky, dirt road- worth it. Quiet, open for solar, good Verizon.
This area is located down a long rocky, dirt road, but it’s totally doable. When filling our water bladder at a local campground and chatting with the host he remarked, “You took a 5thwheel down there!?” So, it’s definitely at your own risk, but we’ve been down worse roads.
Cell/ internet is good at 3 bars Verizon LTE. Not much shade, but great for solar. There were a few people in and out during our week-long stay in September, but it was mostly peaceful and quiet.
The BLM area has a couple of vault toilets and a donation box. The water in the lake is dirty and very low- there are signs indicating the water is too low for any watercraft to launch.
The Eagle Lake RV park nearby has a supply store and dump/fill.
